Former Meta Employee Warns: Stop Using Meta Apps Amid Mass Bans

Date:

A former Meta employee has urged people to stop using Meta apps after many users experienced mass account bans on Facebook and Instagram. They expressed frustration with the platform’s lack of customer service and its heavy reliance on AI moderation tools.

According to the insider, AI systems are triggering wrongful bans because they are easily manipulated. Scammers find ways around the filters, while legitimate accounts get flagged and disabled. This disconnect between automated moderation and real user behavior has left many innocent users locked out.

Affected individuals include those who use Meta platforms for personal memories, communication, and business. The sudden bans have resulted in lost content and income, sparking widespread concern among creators and entrepreneurs.

In a TikTok video that went viral on Reddit, the former employee criticized Meta’s indifference. They said even family members of employees struggle to regain access once banned, reinforcing the idea that Meta doesn’t prioritize individual users.

Reddit users echoed this sentiment. One posted that they had warned for years that “Meta and Zuck DO NOT CARE ABOUT USERS.” Another shared frustration over zero support when their business and personal pages were compromised.

Many users have joined petitions and discussed legal action amid the ban wave. Meta eventually acknowledged the issue and reinstated some accounts, but many remain locked. As of now, no official fixes have been announced.

Meta continues investing heavily in AI systems—even as these automated tools cause collateral damage by disabling legitimate accounts. For users who rely on Meta for personal or professional purposes, the former employee’s message is clear: using the apps comes with serious risk.
