Pixel At a Glance Widget Bug Frustrates Users

Date:

A Googler has acknowledged the problem on the official issue tracker, confirming that the feedback has been escalated to the product and engineering teams for review.

Early reports suggest that the standard troubleshooting steps haven’t resolved the At a Glance issue for many Pixel users. One user mentioned they tried every recommended fix without success. Another noted they were forced to completely disable the “Upcoming” toggle in the widget’s settings, which undermines the purpose of having quick access to relevant calendar details.

For those looking to avoid the clutter without losing the widget entirely, the only reliable workaround for now is to turn off the “Upcoming” events option within At a Glance settings. While this prevents the random display of far-off events, it also removes one of the widget’s most useful functions.

Google has yet to provide a timeline for when this bug will be fixed, but many Pixel users are hoping a patch arrives soon.
