August 19, 2025 – Samsung has confirmed that a fix is on the way for a One UI 7 bug that causes Quick Panel icons to disappear, leaving users without easy access to essential settings.
The glitch has been widely reported across Samsung’s device lineup but appears to affect Galaxy Z Fold users more frequently. According to posts on Samsung’s Korean forums, the issue often occurs when switching between display orientations or after folding the device, turning the screen off, and then waking it again. Instead of displaying the usual shortcuts, the Quick Panel sometimes shows missing or completely blank spaces.
Impacted icons include commonly used toggles such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, sound controls, screen rotation, airplane mode, and the flashlight. Some users say only a few toggles disappear, while others report their entire Quick Panel vanishing, forcing them to manually reconfigure settings.
Frustrated users have also taken to Reddit’s Galaxy Fold community to share experiences of their Quick Panels constantly reshuffling or losing preferred shortcuts.
Samsung has acknowledged the bug and confirmed that a patch will arrive in September’s One UI 7 update, bringing a permanent fix. Until then, users may need to rely on temporary workarounds such as Good Lock customization tools or manually adjusting panel settings.
